Gisteravond zijn in de show van Mike Harding op BBC 2 de nominaties bekendgemaakt voor de BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards 2013. Er zijn onder meer nominaties voor Lau, Bellowhead, Katriona Gilmore & Jamie Roberts en Karine Polwart. Bijzonder is de nominatie van Nic Jones voor Folk Singer of the Year, hij was afgelopen zomer voor het eerst sinds een dertigtal jaar weer op diverse folkfestivals te zien.
